Day
1 9-Sep-Fri Cape Town On your arrival in Cape Town you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon we will have a welcome orientation where you get the opportunity to meet your fellow travelers and your tour escort. Tonight join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner in this enchanting city.
2 10-Sep-Sat Cape Town Enjoy your full English breakfast before you discover Cape Town's treasures at your own pace. Hop aboard a fully narrated sightseeing bus, get on and off at numerous stops including the Company Gardens, Robben Island, Table Mountain Cable Way, the Kristenbosch Gardens and many more. Awaken your taste buds this evening and select dinner from one of the numerous restaurants at the V&A Waterfront.
3 11-Sep-Sun Cape Town Breakfast. Board your deluxe coach for an awe-inspiring journey down the Cape Of Good Hope. This vibrant costal route offers gleaming harbors, charming seaside villages and unforgettable views. Lunch included.
4 12-Sep-Mon Stellenbosch Your adventure begins as we pick up our motor homes, stock up on supplies. The ease of navigating the South Africa roadways with their English signage will simply amaze you. Our finale destination tonight is in the heart of the winery estates. This evening enjoy dinner in a cozy cafe.
5 13-Sep-Tue Cape L'Agulhas Delight in the raw beauty of pounding surf, peek at penguins; explore seaside villages nestled on the shores of the Atlantic. Stand on the most southerly point of the Continent of Africa and explore a historic lighthouse. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves lapping against the shores.  
6 14-Sep-Wed Bontebock NP Your short journey today allows you time to explore historic Swellendam, the third oldest city in South Africa then on to Bontebok National Park. This small and unique chunk of land was set aside to insure the survival of the endangered bontebok, this unusually marked antelope once roamed this region in large numbers.
7 15-Sep-Thu Oudtshoorn Witness a dramatic change in scenery as we travel over Tradouw Pass. Wind your way among spectacular gorges, river valley’s and rock formations as we make our way to the ostrich capital of the world. The surrounding farmlands are thick with these birds, which have been bred here since the 1870's.
8 16-Sep-Fri Oudtshoorn After breakfast today you may choose to pet a cheetah at Cango Wildlife Ranch, visit impressive Cango Caves or plunge into the pool at our four star resort, the choice is yours. Tonight enjoy the culinary delights of an especially prepared dinner at an ostrich farm. For the brave consider hoping on the back of the world’s fastest bird for a breath-taking ride. Congratulate yourself on taking this vacation.
9 17-Sep-Sat Oudtshoorn Enjoy an entire day of leisure to explore the best of this spectacular region on your own. Travel the thrilling Swartberg Pass, one of South Africa's highest winding routes. Visit the feather barons grand houses and museums, stroll the tree-lined streets filled with shops and restaurants selling everything ostrich.
10 18-Sep-Sun Tsitskamma Hike in old primeval forest with dense old growth trees that seem to embrace you, walk barefoot on superb white beaches, dine on succulent oysters, talk to monkeys or ride a zip line. It can all be accomplished on the always-popular Garden Route. Perched in our camping area high above the pounding waves of the Indian Ocean gaze at the stars in the southern sky and try to think of another word for “spectacular” as you write in your journal.
11 19-Sep-Mon Addo Elephant National Park Enter the land of giants with the thrill of impending adventure. This park protects the remnants of the huge elephant herds that once roamed freely throughout the Eastern Cape. Your two days at Addo is a highlight not soon forgotten. Not only will you look for elephants but for zebras, kudus, cape buffalo and perhaps even a chance of spotting a lion or hyena. We gather this evening to swap stories at dinner. After dinner sit silently and gaze down on the lighted watering hole. Make a note to buy an additional memory card for your camera
12 20-Sep-Tue Addo Elephant National Park The morning is yours to further explore and stake out one of the watering holes where the elephants tend to gather. Afternoon transport to Scotia Private Game Reserve for their famous "Tooth and Claw" game drive in an open Land Rover. You will get as close as possible for the best viewing of rhino, hippo, giraffe and the "King of the Beast", lion. After an amazing experience enjoy a delicious dinner that is prepared over an open fire in the boma.
13 21-Sep-Wed Mountain Zebra National Park We move on to the home of the rare mountain zebra and breath-taking scenery. Zebras graze the seemingly endless grasslands while anxious cheetahs wait for their catch.   Our evening ends with a unique cultural song and dance performance followed by a mix of safari cuisine and traditional South Africa cooking.
14 22-Sep-Thu Gariep Dam Scenic motoring the Karoo, vast open grassland encircled by hazy mountains as we enter the Free State. Delight in your ensuite (camp site with private bathroom) two-night stop at South Africa's largest dam. Watch the sunset paint the horizon as stars pop out, the Milky Way never looked like this.
15 23-Sep-Fri Gariep Dam Get set to relax, take a tour of the dam, catch up on your journal or enjoy the amenities of your four star resort. Yet another dining opportunity awaits us tonight.
16 24-Sep-Sat Ladybrand Prepare for the unique! Set against vast mountain scenery with beautiful surrounding farmland, the tranquility of this hideaway retreat is memorable. The choice is yours, sleep nestled in your motorhome or we have arranged your private en suite room for two nights of relaxation at this historic bed and breakfast center. Enjoy the peace, silence and spirituality that are unique to St. Augustine. Open your mouth and say Aaaaah!
17 25-Sep-Sun Ladybrand Amongst ancient oak and eucalyptus trees learn the secret of Prophet Mantsopa who found refuge in this valley as we visit the famous Cave Church. Peer at prehistoric San-Bush Man Paintings. Enjoy warm hospitality as you enjoy your two dinners and breakfasts in this glorious setting. Note you definitely are not in Kansas.
18 26-Sep-Mon Golden Gate NP A step above superb! This magical park offers the nature lover an experience in beauty and tranquility not found anywhere else. Off the beaten path remote, uncrowded and undiscovered by tourist, this is the place where locals come to walk hand and hand with nature. Immense sandstone cliffs guard unfolding plains where you may spot the resident blesboks, elands and rheboks grazing. Take a hike with your honey or snuggle up at the campfire while the cliffs turn glowing amber in the late afternoon.  
19 27-Sep-Tue Howick Watch a breathtaking panorama of stunning scenery unfold as we wind our way through lands that have been carved out by mother nature, The Drakensburg range looks down on us with jagged green peaks on our drive down the road. This World Heritage area has been the inspiration for thousands of post cards. Take time to explore one of the many side roads that allow you to get closer to these dramatic mountains that will cause jaws to drop! We will overnight within walking distance to Howick Falls, don’t forget to check out the many shops to find that unusual treasure or souvenirs to take home.    
20 28-Sep-Wed Richards Bay Witness a dramatic change in scenery as we wind our way from the highlands through seemingly endless fields of sugar cane on our way to the stunning costal roads and Zulu land. This area defines “off the beaten path”. Zulu Land is our glimpse of Zulu life. Dominated by one tribal group, Shaka’s mighty Zulu customs and traditions are still intact with Zulu corrals. Be careful of cattle and be ready to wave back to the happy people on a road that oozes surprises. Possible BBQ this evening.
21 29-Sep-Thu Richards Bay After settling into your camping area surrounded by lush grass complete with noisy monkeys you are free to make your own culinary discoveries, enjoy free time shopping or just soak up the atmosphere. Your tour escort can help you arrange one of the many options available, or just explore your stunning setting.
22 30-Sep-Fri Richards Bay Visit a Zulu Culture Village filled full of fascinating aspects of traditional and modern Zulu life, see Zulu bead working, call on a traditional healer share a welcome brew with the King and be entertained by Zulu dancers. Feast on a fabulous luncheon.
23 1-Oct-Sat St. Lucia Enroute harvest lunch from the bounty you find roadside. Be enticed to sample the fruits. This area is blessed with perfect growing conditions. Venders hawk the exotic and mundane -from a bounty of papayas, mangos, avocados and bananas. Our next two days find us smack dab in nature’s living room, St. Lucia, a World Heritage Site. A highlight here is our interpretive Cruise on the St. Lucia Estuary aboard a spacious double-decked boat for viewing and photographing the mighty hippos and croc’s. On board we will have snacks and beverage.
24 2-Oct-Sun St. Lucia Get the safari gear out, load the camera, pack the binoculars for an adventure trip to Hluhluwe, the oldest game reserve in Africa to protect the White Rhino.
25 3-Oct-Mon Swaziland A complete change of pace. The tiny Kingdom of Swaziland awaits you. Tiny mud huts are home to rural families racing to the road to wave as we zip along to overnight at a small private reserve. The Lebombo Mountains form a backdrop of endless sugarcane. Tonight mingle with your friends at dinner.
26 4-Oct-Tue Kruger NP Bergendal There is never a dull moment at Kruger National Park, the most famous wildlife park in the world, covering eight thousand square miles. A virtual Noah's ark, wildlife viewing at its best. The areas massive terrain and vast savanna is home to the greatest variety of animas of any park on the continent. 
27 5-Oct-Wed Kruger NP Skukuza We venture further into Kruger NP by choosing a number of alternative roads to our next camp. Spot crocodiles and hippos in the river area. Spy zebra, giraffe, odd-looking wildebeests, and dainty impala's in the bush.
28 6-Oct-Thu Kruger NP Skukuza Set the alarm! Attractions include a game drive in the early morning to catch the predators on the prowl as they start their day with breakfast. The rest of the day is yours to self-drive around the stunning lowveld to further spot wildlife. You will find it remarkably easy to wind your way on an extensive network of sealed and dirt roads. Dinner
29 7-Oct-Fri Kruger NP Satara Plunge deeper into the surroundings of wild Africa. Life needs adventure and this magical place can deliver. The sounds and scents of the bush are never more than a few meters away. You will hardly notice you are in the most visited wildlife park in Africa.
30 8-Oct-Sat Kruger NP Satara Topping off the list of the Big 5 are lions, leopards, elephants, cape buffalo and rhino. Have your cameras ready to "shoot" as you set out for yet another day of exploring. On tonight’s agenda a night drive safari to possibly spot the shining yellow eyes of one of the big cats gleaming from the roadside has been scheduled. Dinner
31 9-Oct-Sun Pilgrims Rest It is just a quick jog down the road to a pearl of a place nestled in the heart of the old gold fields. This quaint historical place is filled with a wealth of shopping. Dinner
32 10-Oct-Mon Pilgrims Rest This is a fairyland, don’t just see it, experience it. Sprinkled throughout this region you will find a breath-taking array of options. Among them the Blade River’s spectacular canyons are filled with impressive jutting rock formations, God’s Window’s viewpoints with amazing vistas and tons of souvenir stalls. Peek down into Bourkes Luck Pot Holes with its bizarre cylindrical holes carved into the rock by whirling waters.  
33 11-Oct-Tue Nelspruit Our short day of scenic motoring allows ample time to “stuff” our suitcases as we prepare to vacate our motorhomes tomorrow. After an informal cookout sleep cocooned in your camper and dream of this timeless land and when you will return.
34 12-Oct-Wed Kempton Park, Airport Hotel Wisk our way using the toll roads to Kempton Park to turn in our motorhomes and settle in to our hotel for the next two nights.
35 13-Oct-Thu Kempton Park, Airport Hotel After breakfast a tour a Soweto and visit local highlights. Lunch included. Tonight a farewell dinner is your chance to reminisce about the highlights of your trip and to revile in the friendships you have made. Wonder if all your souvenirs will fit into your suitcase.
36 14-Oct-Fri Flights home Breakfast and check out of hotel.
